Hi all,
Has anyone been counseled by their MD about trying to have a pregnancy while the man is on methotrexate? Risk of genetic defects and is it even safe to try? I'm now on 7.5mg and am on a prednisone taper with remicade for UC and severe arthralgia. Thanks!

First go with your husband to his next appointment and make sure to have a list of questions ready for his RA doctor. MTX can effect the sex drive, but I'm not sure about the fertility.
The remicade would be the bigger problem, I'm guessing...
Talk to his doctor and tell him/her that your wanting to start a family and need help as to if these medications will effect that...
