I'm 33. Since July I've had very painful, sometimes burning joints and extreme fatigue. It has affected most of my joints. Not all at the same time, but both sides at the same time. Since this started I have not had one day without pain.
I went to the doctor, and he suspected RA. He ran some test and my rf came back positive. So he sent me to the Rheumatologist. The rheum doc said that by my chart he thought it was RA too, but since he could not see swelling that it must be fibromyalgia. He did some more blood test and took xrays of my hands and feet "just to make sure".
I don't know if it's RA, but I just do not think its fibro. The pain is in my joints, not so much in the muscles. The pain in my shoulders, hips, and si joints is just so intense. I'm very stiff in the mornings. My hands have been swelling some. I can't really see it, but sometimes I have to force my rings off. My hands for the most part are sore, not painful, but will not always work properly. Sometimes my finger will lock if I'm gripping something like mixing batter or driving. I have trouble with the lock on the bathroom door, my baby's car seat and high chair. When I'm lying down with my arms slightly raised (reading or using my phone) my arms, ring and pinky fingers will go numb, like they have fallen asleep. It hurts to lift up a gallon of milk or my husband's beer mug. I can no longer use the can opener and need help taking pans in and out of the oven. Sometimes I hurt so bad or am so tired I cannot function.
I know this is a bit long winded, but I'm scared. I have five children. The youngest is special needs. My kids need me, and I'm having trouble even being there for myself. I know y'all are not doctors, but I would appreciate any advice. I don't know what's going on with my body and just want to be me again.
Thanks,
Katie
