Minocycline

Has anyone ever used Minocycline for Rheumatoid Arthritis? Also, is it effective for RA? Cant take lefludomide, methotrexate or Sulfasalazine. Next step biologics, too expensive.

HI spanky, I tried Low dose Minocyclene for a bit over the course of 6 months. I didn't have much luck with it helping my symptoms and even at a low dose my stomach could not handle it for such a prolonged period but we are all different and I have read that some people have had very good results from it even to the point of remission.

I would give it a try, you certainly don't have anything to lose. From what I have read it can take a while for it to be effective and some doctors are not aware of the treatment regime with it.

I hope you find some relief and if nothing else look into the programs that biological companies have there are some good ones out there that help a lot of people like us.
