prednisone weaning down

Ok so here I go again. I am weaning down on the prednisone again. I have went this week from 10mg down t 7.5. I have the "Moon" face that goes with this mess. My question is...... my neck has gotten so big while I have been on this stuff... been on it for years now. Is that to a side effect of the prednisone? and if so will it go away as I come off of this mess> I am so tired of the side effects and gotta get off this tine completely,

Hi Peggy! I have wrote to you before. My daughter took prednisone for a year. She was weaned off of it but she had gained so much weight and her face was so round and got pretty big too. People she new would sometimes not recognize her. She was in high school some of her friends asked if she was hiding a pregnancy. Anyhow a few months after being completely weaned she list weight and the moon face as they call it started to fade to her normal skinny face. She is now looking like herself and very slimmed. She was on prednisone for scleroderma "CREST" syndrome.
