started Enbrel

first injection no problem

second injection red swollen itching at injection site happen 4 days after?

seems to be getting bigger

I c my Doc dec 2 suppose to do #3 shot on thanksgiving ..might wait

I talked to the Enbrel nurse she said these reactions r norm

I`m a little nervous bout cellulitis

should I wait to c my ra doc before next shot ..any of you experience this

This is how my site reactions went when I switched to enbrel.

First shot no problems no redness.

Second shot, redness and itching at FIRST injection site (called a recall reaction) but nothing at the current site.

Half way through second week redness and itching at that weeks site.

Dr advised to take some benedryl before injections and I've not had any issues since in the last 6 months. I work nights and take my injection when I get home so I take two benedryls, do my shot and go to sleep. Works for me and rarely do I even have a lump any more.

I think some of it has to do with the length of time on Enbrel too. The longer the less of a reaction.
