Durolane Hip Injection

I am a 54 year old woman who was a family history of bad hips. My younger sister is having her second hip replacement next week and my father has had both also. So it is my turn.

I was scheduled for surgery in December but was cancelled as my Dr. wanted me to try Durolane as he felt it would give me more time. I had the injection 11 days ago. It was fine at first but as time has gone by the pain has increased. I am at the point that I cannot even walk as the pain is so bad. I was told t be patient as it can take up to 6 weeks. I really don't feel that the pain is part of the healing process.

Love to get feedback on other experiences with Durolane in the Hip.

Thank you for the information. I will ask my Dr. about this. I had a Cortisone injection which lasted just over a month but did not completely kick in. My Dr. is not a fan of it as it is not good for people to get too many. I could of had the surgery by now and was even laying in the hospital bed with an IV ready to be wheeled into OR and my Surgeon pulls the plug. Looking for a new surgeon now.

Thank you Beth! I was pretty much in shock! I kept thinking all those resources gone to waste and now a month and a half later i am still suffering. I went to my gp and she is appauled at what happened. I am day 18 of injection and now have pain in my hip, down into my knee! Mycdr. Is finding me another surgeon so on the meantime continue to deal with the pain. I cant work as my job puts me on my feet up to 14 hours a day. I spends lots of time doing pool physio which keeps me sain!
