I guess you take the good with the bad, such is life they say, right? At least you see the positives and they are good. It's good that your much more mobile without the knee pain. that's awful about the chrons. I'm sorry!
I'm really bummed about the trip, but I know it is the right thing....cutting it close like this and my history the last 3 years is just a recipe for a relapse - or worse, pneumonia and a busted ear drum. My sister's wedding is in less than 6 weeks and because of the flu in the household I haven't gotten my daughter's dress yet (we had outing plans when she first got sick) and sis will be PO'd if I screw this up. I have to find myself a dress and get son fitted for tux - so, my point is, the main goal is the wedding and I know she'd much rather I play it safe and get ready for that than join her this weekend. If I came back next week sick again, I wouldn't be able to get those things done in time! But, being a 24/7 mom who doesn't make time for herself, this was that rare opportunity (and excuse) to go out and leave my obligations behind 100% and have FUN - I have yet to really be able to do that not only since becoming a parent 6 years ago, but pretty much since my pain began 10 years ago.
I'm trying to imagine your 92lb frame 12 months prengant! Oh wait, it's 96 now, right?
Have you had problems with hemerroids with chrons? Being sick, I've aggrivated the very mild case I have by sleeping upright, but it's a sharp internal pain, like horrible cramps that stop you in your tracks and you can't stand up straight. What do you do for that? Is there something external you can do to help internal pain like that? I'm worried because I know the big D is going to hit soon from all these meds and yesterday going to the bathroom was so painful, my body wouldn't let it happen.
