This is my first time posting to this site. I’ve had RA since 2013. I’m taking Methotrexate, Sulphasalazine, Hydroxychlorquine, and Folic Acid. I go in every three months for Bloodwork and they have always been good with no problems. This last time the tests were all good except the WBC.That was very low! I retested today but am very anxious over the results. I googled Low WBC and that is scary! Has anybody else had this issue?

Welcome to the site
Sorry to hear your having hassles
Sometimes you can get Low WBC due to an infection you could have a cold or even some small thing you don't notice
also sometimes medication can effect it
a lot depends on How low and if it continues
usually if the Doctor is worried they will contact you Or even if You contact your primary Doctor and maybe get another lot of blood work done earlier than due to re check
I know it can be scary but RA & it's treatments can often cause your blood to do silly things
my Doctor actually laughs & says Wow if I have a blood result that shows things are Normal -simply because it Rarely happens there is always Something up or down
hope this helps a little and always remember you can contact your Doctor at any stage to ask them questions or a local medical advice line your state may have Don't sit home and Worry that is the worst thing to do - RA doesn't like stress

Thank You for the reply! I guess I’m just used to not having problems! I always think the worst and Google way too much! So have you had an issue like this?
