Hi, and welcome to healing well. I'm sorry that you have to deal with RA, but I'm glad that you found us. I think you will find this a fairly supportive group. My first and only pregnancy is actually what triggered my autoimmune problems, so I haven't actually been pregnant with RA. Everything I've read about it, though, states that pregnancy will drive your RA into remission. However, you are right in that delivery can often precipitate a major flare. The good news about that, though, is that you and your doctor will know that a flare is coming and you can be prepared. Also, I have met many people who have taken certain drugs during pregnancy. Remicade and Enbrel for starters. In fact, my GYN doctor told me Enbrel was a Class B drug--entirely safe for pregnancy. She also reminded me how few drugs actually get a Class B rating. You could always go on Enbrel, if you're not already, in anticipation of a future pregnancy. This might be a strategy to avoid a postpartum flare, if you can.
