Got my shot in shoulder today

Dear Erin, Ducky, and all, Well, Monday finally came and I got me shot in the shoulder today.(Cortisoneand something else). He also gave me forty oxycodone for pain. He said 3 or 4 days and I should be feeling like new. I certainly hope so as we will be driving to Florida during those 3 days to see my daughter and five grandkids. My other daughter will be there too along with her 3 kids. We're staying in a motel but very close to all of them. It has been 5 years since we were all together at one time. As soon as I get back he wants me to make arrangements to have my left knee operated on. Those of you who know me know I need a revision on a failed knee replacement. He said its very bad and could collapse and break at any time. If that would happen then he couldn't take care of it, I would have to go to a doctor in St. Louis at Barnes Hospital. Hey Nic-Nac - how's the shoulder now that some time has gone by after the shot? Hope you are getting some relief... You'll need it with you big trip coming up... sounds exciting, getting to see all the grandbabies and your daughters... just be careful with that knee! Holy cow! Like you said, it's always something! Dear Ducky, Erin, and all, I can't see much difference as yet in my shoulder, but he said it may take 2 or 3 days so I'm not giving up  yet. I'm mad at my orthopedic doctor right now. I felt like he talked down to me. So what else is new right? The orthopedic surgeons in that group all believe they are right up there with the almighty, and I hate that attitude. Anyway, if you want some relief I guess you put up with it or find another doctor. That isn't always the easiest thing either. Well, tomorrow we leave on our trip so I probably won't be posting for a while , but I'll certainly be thinking of all of you and praying that you have some pain-free days and nights.
