So I have a lump on my hand

I don't know if this is the right forum to look for info on this, but I just noticed there's a bony lump on the top of my right hand between my middle and ring finger that floats up and down from my wrist to the middle of my hand when I flex it. Did I just break a bone in my wrist or something??? Or is this normal and I've never noticed?

If this isn't the right place to ask direct me elsewhere.

Your problem sounds familiar, I'm sure that some people on this site can help you. Have you had it checked out yet by anyone?

How big is the lump? Does it change in size? Is it sensitive to the touch?

remember those things that would show up on people's hands...a lump...and old philosphy was to smash it with a Bible? anywhoo, they were some sort of cyst. either calcium or fatty cysts.

if you have an underlying disease i would have it xrayed and checked out. but if not, perhaps continuous warm compresses on it for a while and wait to see if it goes away. if it doesn't go away after a few weeks & it is worrisome, i'de suggest having an MD look @ it.
