thanks a lot all.
Dave, sorry dude...my hips you wouldn't want. they're pretty; but they're uh, craptastic on the inside. my left middle finger although is pretty straight! and my ring finger could double as a flipper as it's pretty long...so there ya have it. i've already willed my bladder to Ducky. glad to see we've a little organ donation organization going on here. LOL.
hey yalinda: today was a rough one. but this too shall pass. had some good talks with 2 good friends today & yesterday and short synopsis " you never know what lies in the road ahead." so mine just might be pretty darn good.
you know what it's like? you put blood, sweat and tears into preparing for something great. and then you're knocked down before you ever got a chance to get a go at it. Dave, you asked about dealing with all of this so young...i don't have enough adjectives to describe it. i have a lot in common with the 1 ton Man. feels like a prisoner in his own body? and at 95 pounds i can absolutely relate.
but i do put my self back in reality & am greatful that i do have my wits about me, am smart, can wipe my rear end myself on a good day, have mantained a great disposition throughout it all, and heck....i'm not on an iron lung. (humor instead of philosophy...my lightsaber has gone impotent). geesh, they've got a cure for that .
Deb: yeah...so i was pretty right on about the age qualifications. i hope your knees are up and running (or walking) soon as well. i'm still an icebox. so are you going to get a TKR? in the near future?
here's to everyone going through rough times.
