DR. say's we might have to operate!

I have bipoler , musclar skeletal knots, organic brain damage. now to make things better the Dr. say Ihave an extra vertabre witch may have crushed a disk or it's ballooning. Idon't know if this is safe.I'm kind of scarred ! My dad was in a wheel chair in forties. I don't want to be there to! Does any one know about this stuff

Welcome animal,glade to have you all thoe sorry you are having all of these problems.I take it that you were refered to a ortho are you on any meds for the pain?I would like to ask have you gotten another opinion?I would surgest (sp)it and at least then you will have two Doctor's and if one agree's with the other and it will give you much needed relief then it may be what you need to do.I my self have had no dealing with this and I wish I could be some help but I don't know what to say other than get the secound opinion.Please let me know what you find out and I will in the mean time keep you in my thought's and prayer's that every thing turns out ok for you.
