Finally - a good day.

Well, today is pretty good.  In fact, the last few weeks have been pretty good.  In just a few more days it will have been a month since i've been sick.  This is good when compared to being sick almost constantly from @ February until August - sometimes violently.  I went off Prednisone in July after having been on it for 10 months.  It seems that as it built up in my system I got sick more often.  I am hoping that this no-sick trend continues (and I'm knocking franticly on my wooden desk as I type this).  I'm still on 8 pills of methotrexate a week, and I'm having just a few random pains every few days.  The knees hurt on Saturday, and the right shoulder hurts today.  Not sick + random pains = I'll take it!

Oh the irony, and I'm not even kidding - but here it is just a few hours later from my previous post and I have the chills, a fever, and I feel light headed!  More of my joints ache now too, but it feels 'sickness' related and not arthritic.  This is unbelieveable.  If I have to go home or if I have to call in at work tomorrow I just don't know how I'm going to be able to do it.  It has been over a month since I've been out sick, but I haven't exactly left a good track record... AND I have stuff to get done before next Wednesday.  I tried to remind myself during lunch a while ago that I need to just enjoy the good days and be really tough when things are bad, and just really try to appreciate the good days as much as possible!

Ok, I'm better now.  This illness was very short and although it briefly came close to being violent and I had that extreme nauseua feeling, it mercifully was without coughing, stuffiness, runny nose and all that other stuff.  I got the strep test the following day and the doctor told me it was some sort of virus and to just drink lots and lots of liquids.  My throat had a sort spot on it for several days, but for the most part the illness was gone in two days.  I feel pretty much fine today and am very glad for it!
