Hello 2 all.

I am doing well at all. I take only herbs now, today I've started to take also glucosamine for joints support. My doc says it will help my knee joint recover from the constant inflamation process in it. I can't stop drinking alcohol at all, I still drink about once a week on outings. I do avoid beer, wine and fizzy drinks, only drink concentrate and natural juice when I'm drinking. Last evening I had a severe stomachache after I drunk about 200ml of vodka on empty stomache;(( That was a real stupid behaviour performed by me. Of course it borrowed my head with the disease for the whole evening instead of having a good time...But godness it went away pretty fast....today I feel great again;) I still smoke, I can't quit smoking cigarettes right now. I know it will be very beneficial for my health problem, but I am so nervous around the diease and cigrettes makes me a lil bit more calm. I've started to run in the park again, but I have a slight knee pain a few hours after every joging and I suppose I must practice it less frequent, at least for now.

I realy want and hope to hear more people in this forum sayng that they are doing well.

Judy I heard that you are doing well with your arthritis too?

Yalinda, sorry for you having troubles with astma? Have you had astma outbreaks previously in your life?

Erin, so difficult for you having problems with the CD and remicade now. I hope this flare calm down soon and you get better. And don't talk about hospitals! Erin, are you irritated at me for something? If you are... please accept my apologize for my rough tongue about the biologics. It's my fault. I'm rather impulsive character sometimes, and later I do realize my mistake. I'm sorry.

about heloween: yes it is international. Most of the countries in central and western europe marks it by tradition. Catolics christians marks it more common then ortodox and protestants christians despite it is not a christian fest at all, all saints is the church's name;)). Here in Bulgaria we are orthodox and respect heloween less common because we have other traditional fest with pumpkin lantern, but related to the world globalization here we also mark heloween, although not so spectacular as it is being celebrated 4 example in Italy, Germany, UK..... and I suppose in USA is the biggest show;)).

Hi all.  I'm back.  Hurt like heck today, but I'm still here. 

Rheumy told me yesterday that fatigue I'm experiencing is probably the start of a flare.  I didn't tell him this, but I also experience low grade fevers every single day.  I normally run low normal, so when my temperature is consistently 100 degrees F or more, I consider it a fever, although it wouldn't meet the criteria for a real fever.  I started mtx again last night.  Coughed all night, but I'm sure it wasn't mtx; the air in our bedroom was cold, and cold air makes me cough.  I know that once the mtx kicks in, combined with the enbrel, I'll feel 100%--tired, but not hurting at all. 

Marius,  some new research has just come out (was all over the news back here in the states) that corroborates the positive health benefits of red wine!  Too bad I can't drink--cannot tolerate alcohol at all due to severe stomach problems (acid reflux disease).  Research shows I'd live longer.

Hi Marius, good to hear from you. It sounds like you are heading down the right road with cutting (albeit slowly) the bad stuff and adding in the good stuff. I know it's tough when you like to run, but maybe try walking instead.

that definitely makes sense;)))) Problem is that I'd have to walk alone.... I walk a lonely road, the only one that I have ever known,  don't know where it goes, but it's home to me and I walk alone. I walk this empty street on the Boulevard Of Broken Dreamz. It was a lil lyrical diversion. You got point. Walking is a reasonable alternative (I hope 4 now, and then to be able to run freely)

yalinda, you said anything interesting.??.... the only interesting around me is that I decided to find a job..;) but this time some less stressfull job because the programming - my current proffesion with all these dead lines and money around, yeah it's well payed but it's not for sick men like me, you bet on! Now I'm planning to "get up phones" somewhere;))).. a new job which has 9-6pm workhours, lacks thinking, and then to go home, or to go out with friends and to forget about it... It's just the perfect job I think........I'm talking about a kind of customer support or smth, also in the IT branch may be, I'm looking for it now, I do prepare my CV for sending. Imagine, what the reaction would be when they see a person with 5 years proffesiopnal programming experience seeking for customer support job... prob is that I don't know the english that  much perfect, most of the "realy well payed" customer support jobs here requires fluent english...;( But definitely I have to do smth for my financial status because I do have money only to pay my electricity, phone and internet and I rarely go out. I got into a big debt to the heating company and they warn me with court now;))))) If they take my TV and my computer that will be my end ;)))) Godness I have parents who will not allow that, but it's time for me to turn back to some regular life.

First snow has came here... Today was snowing... but something between rain and snow.. cold windy and humid weather.. but that makes home athmosphere more preferable and the constant feeling that you miss something out is more blunt now ;)... everything has its positives and negatives .. ya know ;)

yep this counts...it is almost 12 midnight so GOODMORNING; however, it ain't so hot. up with severe knee joint pain. ugh... man, so i had my knees done with the roid' last friday, and i alctually felt BETTER last week than now! terrible.  it's almost unbearable... to the point of a trip to the ER.  still no dilaudid RX! and i called it in wednesday! so i'm in trouble if things get bad, (not that the narcotic help the swelling/throbbing much)....but how much can a girl take (and believe me i can take A LOT!)  so i downed 60mg of prednisone this afternoon in hopes it helps. well, me still is ups! so i guess nadda?  what a lousy weekend man.  i feel badly for my honey...he gets so sad when this happens even when i put on my best happy face...but not even the GOOD makeup helped this one.

Joan, you need a footrub from me!   i put people to sleep with them. LOL.

good news? there is only 10 more days till' BOBBY TIME! Weeeeeeeeeeee Hooooooooooo! i can not contain myself! 5th row???? wow!  Dylan will rock i know it.  and i hope he sees me! i got a kick-a** pair of cowboy boots! they are primo! i'm sooo excited, but how i'm doing now puts a dark cloud over everything.  but still hoping for the best.

this fatigue & pain is wicked? don't know what gives?  it's more acute and more different than other times. it's like a mono fatigue... ya know? when just getting up to go to the bathroom is IT. been rough so forgive me if i'm not on too often this week. have a feeling i'll be doing time in the hossy.

don't know how sleep will come tonite? loaded up on zanax, sleep pills and valium in hope to countereffect the pred effects. who knows.

well folks, things will  get more upbeat...they must!  and don't forget....tis the season for your favorite local arthritis foundation JINGLE BELL RUNS & benefits...so be on the lookout! i might pay the ticket to go & just hang. and cheer on the peeps running to raise money. and DON'T FORGET TO DONATE TO HW! the organic teeshirts are the BEST!!!!

Hi all.

Great moanin' everyone!  It's Monday  now, and I'm determined to have a good week.  Still majorly fatigued (Erin, I hear you about the fatigue, and I'm sure mine is nowhere near as severe as your's is) and hurting.  Although I did an enbrel injection on Saturday, so I'm still reaping the benefits of that through today, maybe tomorrow.  Take my second dose of mtx on Wednesday. 

Off to work.  check in everyone!

my job has an internation center for careers and hospitality and we take people from around the world to train in hospitality and specialize in only people with disabilities. go to statler center .org to check it out. i know we have had people from iran and egypt attend... i am pretty certain, not positive? people who are willing to relocate though for work. many people get customer service positions or other hotel related positions. that is because these are good careers for persons with disabilities. arthritis would count for anyone interested. well good luck in your search marius. now i got to back and read some more and see what else i missed opps :) yalinda

ps i am STILL coughing!!!!!!!! almost a month now! and sick of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes i am working with all three doctors on this ....... no resolution to problem.......... cough cough choke cough cough

Marius...well, the reason i was doing so poorly is that i had a FEVER! just found out today...duh! silly me, didn't cross my mind to take my temp...but yep, that's what was workin' on me.  better days will come. well, i use LidoDerm Rx patches for topical joint relief, also peppermint extract & also Ethyl Chloride Rx...FluidJoint works really well. but they wear off so soon. my best topical is the LidoDerm.

yalinda...okay...we need you to dorm with "El" and take care of this darn MTX cough complications and everything else...i'll move in too & do all your shots because i am the INJECTION QUEEN!

has anyone seen "Angels In America"? {Justin Kirk, Meryl Streep, Jeffrey Wright, Emma Thompson}  great way to to kill an afternoon when your pent up in bed. type of film (4hours) you can watch over and over.

Marius, glad you looked up the website and yes i everyday see people with disabilities overcome obstacles, thats what i do!  it is a rush for me to solve their problems, kinda selfish sounding but true!  i had this totally blind guy ditting onhis couch everyday never showering or anything and over the past 5 years he is attending college and even worked at disney for a semester, with no light perception.  we just have to over come our obstacles both mentally and physically and "new " and different ways to do things.  i wish arthritis was my specialty but it is not ...... yet!

 

Erin, if el will take me in i'll move.... i think it is warmer south? hehehe  actually i think it is camama where i want to move?  can i? hehehehehe
