New - with a few questions!!

I have multiple disabilities and now trying to find reasons why new presentations are occuring. I have a neuro-muscular disease yet to be determined and also Crohns disease.

Lupus has been ruled out for the moment but I am in constant pain, in joints and muscles. I also have weakness in lower limbs and hands.

But pain is very bad and I wake in agony and stiffish.

Pain in wrist joints and knees and hands.

I have a burning sensation in palms of hands, back of calf muscles and now knees and back of thighs.

Any of this sound familiar re and artritic conditions. I just dont know where to find answers for the pain, extreme fatigue and burning sensations. What blood tests do any of you suggest I ask for re. artritis.

Hi Girlish, I'm a Crohnie too and on top of that, I've got Spondyloarthritis (SpA). This is a fairly common arthritic condition which affects many people who suffer with IBD.

My guess would be that the burning sensation you're experiencing could well be related to Peripheral Neuropathy (PN) as that is common for us too. Since we cannot adequately absorb nutrients from the foods we eat, many of us end up with vitamin B & Folate deficiencies, bot of which contribute to PN.

Early SpA often primarily affects the soft tissues surrounding the joints and is often misdiagnosed as tendonitis or bursitis. Just recently, I've written several posts regarding this. Rather than retype all that info, I'll put in some links to other threads.
