Have any of you tried Cymbalta? My doctor put me on 30mg last week. I have only taken it for 5 days now. If you have ever taken this, please let me know your experience.
Many thanks!

I take 30 mg have for over a year and I can tell the diffference when not on it. It does help me sleep not so much nerve pain at night. Also it does help me with the depression I get from not being able to do all the stuff I use too. Renee

Well, I am no longer taking Cymbalta. I took it for 5 days and was told to immediate quick taking it when my doctor realized I am allergic to it. I had dilated pupils for 5 straight days, was not sleeping well, had the most horrendous headache and my bp was sky high, my vision was fuzzy and I was having trouble talking. I hate that I am allergic to it - because I was so hopeful that it would help with the nerve pain. I hope that anyoone else taking this will have much better results from it.

So sorry I hope they find something that may work for you.. Having nerve damage is so very terriable to deal with I have had severe problems for years so I can sympathize with you. Renee

Ask about
Neurontin or Lyrica: specifically designed to help people with nerve pain.

I'm sorry that you are allergic to the Cymbalta. I've been on it for about
a year and have had great results both with managing my pain and alleviating the depression that goes along with pain. I started on 30mgs for a week or 2 and then bumped up to 60 mgs.
I'd agree that you should discuss othr options with your Doc. Many have good results with the Neurontin and/or Lyrica and there are other antidepressants which may help. Elavil comes to mind, but there are a few that may help with nerve pain.
I hope you find your way to relief soon.
