ahhhh, the marital saga continues.....

But, back on the arthri*** topic.....I'm hanging in there (barely) with the job in re:to joints hopefully that'll get better. whoops...gotta go....

Unfortunately, he's back and being a male organ trying to get me to leave the house. I missed a flight this a.m. because he said he wouldn't be here for the kids and is blaming me for missing it and now it'll cost $$$ to get a later one which he is adament I can't spend the funds. Have to miss a big family event I'm helpng sponser. This is not going to be easy. He plays hardball like no one else I know. :( I don't know what to do.

Moanin' everyone..

Hubby made it safe and sound, found out that his cell phone works, but it costs almost $3.00 a minute for him to use it.. so I guess we won't be using it much while he's out.. we are looking at getting a phone through Vonage while he's gone, that way it's just a flat rate and we can talk as much as we want. 

I'm doing ok, just miss him.. Not used to him being away from the family, and my kids are with their dad right now, so it's just me and my puppy dog.. is nice and peaceful in a way, but is too quiet sometimes.. They'll be back Monday though, so it won't be so bad..

As for my review board.. I went yesterday and signed the preliminary paperwork stating that I am aware of the fact that they are starting an MEB (Medical Evaluation Board) and found out what they can/can't do...  I should hear something by next week as far as what the docs here think, then it has to go to some approving officials in San Antonio.  I won't hear the results of that for 4 - 6 weeks.. then depending on what they say, will depend on if I appeal their decision or not.. Am hoping for the best, and trying to think positive!    Is hard at times, but I can't let this get me down.. there's just too much working against me right now, and I refuse to let it beat me..   I've let it get to me long enough, and now it's time for me to just get a handle on things and make the best out of whatever they throw my way.

I appreciate all the well wishes and thoughts, you guys are awesome.. I know I haven't posted much, but I tried to at least skim the posts every couple of days and I saw all the posts you guys made to me.. you are the best!  I don't know what I'd do without you guys!  You truly are my family away from family.. I too wish we were all closer (geographically) so that we could meet up, but I know that would be tremendous to try and work out..

Well, I'm off to try and see if I can't work something out for us to post pictures if everyone wants to participate.. This of course is a voluntary thing, as I know some people like the anonymity of being online, so please don't feel pressured in anyway that you have to post a pic.. But I know some of you would really like to be able to put a face with the name.. I'll make a post to let you know what I find out and how we'll work it..

 I knew it!  Bear's a hottie!  I'm hoppin' a plane to The Cave!  Ducky and Jody, nice looking pics.  It really is cool to put a face with the posts.  I'll have to have one of my kids help me with putting one of my "Blimpo" pics on here.  The most I can do is peck a little here and there.  Beyond that I'm helpless when it comes to computers. 

Sorry you're having a rough time, Bear.  Hope it passes quickly.  How's Camama?  You've been on my mind day/night.

Overdid yesterday.  Friday was overwhelming and didn't get finished with work.  So I went in at 6:00am Saturday.  Locked the door at noon, went to bed.  I have a couple of customers, mother and daughter, rich folks, chronically late, always come in right at cut-off time expecting to get their stuff done immediately, or at closing time, etc.  At 11:59 yesterday the phone rang and I saw on the caller ID that it was the daughter and I've got her whole wardrobe.  Didn't answer the phone.  Already had the doors locked and knew I'd be there another 30 minutes if I answered.  I know....not a good thing for a business owner to do but I don't give a rip at this point in my crippled life.  Heehee!  I put on my Wal-mart pants one leg at a time just like she does her Bloomingdales. 

Hubby and I are "friendly", no fights, no cross words.  He stays busy checking on his mom, who is sinking fast.  He's having problems with 4 siblings who haven't been here to see her or send any money to help.  Sister-in-law and us, that's all who are paying for the expenses the Medicare won't cover.  We are also carrying our household and our daughter's as she can't work for taking care of her husband.  You just do what you can and what you have to do to get through rough times.  The fur will fly when The Fab Four come to us wondering where the life insurance is 'cuz there isn't any.  There is however printed documentation of what I've spent for the last 5 years for MIL to have her hair done once a week and her pharmacy bills (which is $7000.00+) and $600.00 a month into her account every month for the last 10 years to live on.  I'm just hiding under a rock waiting for the questions.  Just call me "Rattlesnake". 

Don't get me wrong.....I wouldn't have her want for anything.  I've gladly done this.  I'm just so PO'd at how kids do their parents.  I'm glad we are here for her.
