Hi Everyone. I'm just getting over a dry spell. My hands were so dry that the skin on top of my thumbs split open. My bag of tricks include Biotene toothpaste, Oral Balance gel, Act restoring mouthwash, Astroglide lubricant, Systane eyedrops, Eucerine cream (not lotion), and antibiotic cream for sores. Getting ready for bed is such an ordeal. I'm really just posting so some of u may get some ideas of stuff to try. Love to y'all. Butterflake

Hi, Butterflake.

I hate the skin dryness. Mainly because people SEE my hands. I used to have such pretty hands. Now they get discolored and crack. I try to continuously keep some type of cream on them but I think im losing this battle. lol

I dont really know what to do for the other things. I was on evoxac. It made me ill. The rheumy wrote me a rx for salagen but i misplaced slip and the dislike i have for him makes me not want to call and ask for it to be called in. Are the systane drops otc? Resistasis made my eyes hurt so bad...and i stuck with it for a few months.
Oh, and i wont even get into the problems with yeast in my esophagus.

I hate Sjogren's and I cant even get a dx.

Hi Butterflake and HonorableMention.
The joys of dry skin. Many years ago I found this little shop where the fellow makes blends of lotions to include your perfume scent. Yea right, I can't use scents etc. since they irritate my dry eyes. But, I told him about my dry skin, he made me a PRE-NATAL lotion adding extra AD&E. Wow! When I'm in a crunch, I found the Cetaphil heavy moisturizer works almost as well.
For cracks, I have used "super glue" for years, so the cracks have chance to heal.
I was on Salagen for years and years, but my eyes/mouth/vagina/etc. just kept getting drier and drier, so we are trying Evoxac, I can't say it's any better, BUT, my super low heart rate is up from 29-39 bpm to 44-59!! I almost have energy again. Yes, one of the side effect of Salagen can be lower heart rate..
Retatsis has not helped me at all, but my google glasses do! Also. putting a touch of vasoline around my eyes/eyelashes help too
As for the yeast, I have 3 antiflugals: pill, syrup and loz.
