I get that a lot too. I assume that it has to do with the dry eyes, but I do not know for sure. Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone.

Sjogren's dryness can cause red eye, along with not enough sleep and allergies, best you get this checked out by your eye doctor, it'll give you peace of mind if you get seen by your eye doctor.

Stay away from using Visine, even if it's eye allergies, your doctor can give you a prescription to help, when mine get bad and I get eye pain my doctor prescribes "pred Forte" for a few days, as it is a steroid eye drop and must be used with caution, I get relief from this eye drop but again use with caution as it's a steroid eye drop and expensive.

my current symptoms:

-red, irritated eyes as in the link above
-dry lips
-sore taste in mouth

my blood test done one week ago:

crp: 5 mg/L, range: 0-10
esr: 2 mm/uur , range: 0-8
ra factor: 9 iu/ml, range: 0-12
anti-ccp: 0.4 u/ml, range: 0-7
ana: negatif
allergy: very positive value

can i have Sjogren?

Yes, Sjogrens is possible, but you really need to ask your eye doctor and get the dryness testing done and then possibly a rheumatoid arthritis doctor as RA doctors do treat Sjogrens patients...so first step is the eye doctor...

i have painful and burning eyes, feeling dryness in lips.
within day, i feel colds accompanying burning eyes and sometimes fever.
is this sjgoren?

i was at an eye specialist 2 days ago and he said eye redness is not related to sjogren.
i am confused!

from my blood test 3 weeks ago: i have ra factor, anti-ccp and ana negative,

I'll reply tomorrow, pain has me hurting. Please forgive my slow response ( I have many dx's) ...plus planning my daughters wedding...sorry...

Try getting an RA doctor to see you and maybe a second eye doctor's opinion from another eye doctor...

Try getting a diagnosis from an RA Doctor and then ask the RA Doctor for a referral out to a better eye doctor, cause it sounds like your eye doctor is not wanting to help you.
Getting good doctors and getting that correct dagnosis can be very hard to get. Took me years (20) trying to get a doctor to listen and now I finally have dx's and good doctors, however at the costs of joint damage, so keep pushing for a diagnsis if you feel it is indeed sjogrens, but this can be hard to do...

How is it now? If your eyes were red as well as painful, it sounds like uveitis. Were they super sensitive to light?

Try limiting looking at cell phone, computers and tv. I know that's difficult in 2015, but if you try reducing those things and your symptoms improve- you have to accept that some of these things are affecting your eyes. They do sell glasses with yellow lenses that help block the blue lights beaming at you from computer monitors, etc.
