am i jumping to conclusions after a few days of dry mouth? please read me.

I randomly developed a dry mouth 4 days ago. i happen just like a switch, one moment my mouth was fine then it was suddenly very dry! my throat feels like i have a virus but im not coughing. (my sinuses are stuffy but not blocked) im eating ok, though i can feel textures are different.

i developed sevear dry eye (tbut 2) 2 years ago. (i feel i may have been bitten by a tic a few months before this so always assumed it was related to lyme, especially since ive made good progress with improving it after IV treatments, though my tbh is now 7 so not great) they found i have a water deficiency in my eyes, also all my glands are clear, but the oil in there is very slight, just not good enough quality to stop my eyes from being dry.

i had tests for sjogrens when my eye issues started, all the blood tests and saw a rheumatologist, his words where "i can tell you with 100% certainty you do not have sjogrens. your dry eye is due to long term use of an anti depressant known for causing this issue, all your tests are perfect. you may have some chronic fatigue."

i have no idea where these dry throat and mouth issues have come from unless its related?.

i am seeing a infectious disease specialist who tested me and got positive blood results for me for lyme disease and i have a chronic active EBV infection (which is known for causing eye issues too, and can sometimes cause sore throat flare ups but that aspect would def be new to me) im treatment, antie virals and lots of abx and herbs, vitamins and rest.

i did notice some a few lumps at the back of my tongue and then i saw my tongue is slightly swollen.

A lip biopsy can only show Sjogren's IF, and ONLY IF, you have Sjogren's active in your mouth. Sjogren's can present in eyes, ears, nasal passages, mouth, and other mucus membranes, including those between internal organs. All of these other presentations can exist and you could still get a negative lip biopsy.

Sjogren's treatments are quite often applied without a lip biopsy, and from the results various members have had over the years I would NOT recommend a biopsy. People end up with permanent numb spots, or sometimes with permanently inflamed nerves at the biopsy site.
