How bad is your Sjogrens?

My RA said something like I show on my blood test that I have advanced SJS. Can't remember exact words. I'm 38 and at times feel 60ish. Can't imagine what I'll feel like when I am 60. Has a doctor told you, how bad you have SJS?

For me the worst part is my eye's and how so very dry they are, I had eye plugs put in March and they are gone now as I can feel the sandy grit, so I'm looking at replacement plugs in a few weeks time, and the thing is for most people these last for years...Make sure to let your eye doctor know so you can get early treatments if needed...Plus Sjogren's can effect the nerves...it's a wammy of an disease...plus I have very early macular degeneration which may or maynot be a part of the sjogren's...my doctors are still argueing over that one kindal like the chicken crossing the road...

I am 61, and I have to stretch mine lol.. and say that I feel like 80. I stay tired all the time. Severe fatigue, and pain. My pain is pretty controlled with gabapentin. I have bad insomnia right now. I would love to not have such severe fatigue, but I guess that is not meant to be. I don't know how severe mine is, but to me it feels like between it and the lupus, and fibro that I am dying a piece at a time.

I am 60 and I just got diagnosed but I think I've had it for a long, time, at least 8 years. It took me a long time to get diagnosed, obviously.

I feel really old too and hate it. I was once very athletic and it's been hard to gain so much weight and be so tired and achy. I am better now, but I can still have a bad day out of no where. I have to think it's gonna get better. I don't think I am on enough medication. I had a good rheumy who had me feeling pretty good for a while. I am in the process of finding a new one b/c I moved and the current one isn't cutting it.

Hello, Elaine123, so very sorry you also have a Sjorgren's diagosis.
I wanted to say welcome and would hope you post a new introduction thread.
Nice to meet you and hope you'll stay and I look forward to your postings, I'm just a few years younger than you, but have had the sjogrens dx for about 4 to 5 years now, wish I could say it gets easier...
