hey everyone i am new to the site i just wanted to say hi to everyone i am also a new bi polar patient and i am having some difficulty  dealing with this  i have small children i just lose my temper so often i dont harm them  buit it hurts me so much i know that it effects my marriage aswell i have been married for 4 years and i love my hubby so much but i know my constant moodiness is hurting him and my crying and my sad then happy and not sleeping well i am now on Seroquel anyone have any thing or advice that can help i just need to get through this in one peice hehe they have me on 200 mg of it  any info that might help on the drug aswell???

thanks for the reply and no i just got on it as of today ... i was just diagnosed "on paper" that i was bi polar its kinda hard hit that  now i know that i am ..... just was a kinda a sit down and take a step back and look at your life situation. But we all have some sort of situation that makes you do this . I cant tell you how happy i am to find some where to "vent " or to find a good shoulder if you know what i mean . thank you.

Let me welcome you also. Definitely take some time to let the whole situation sink in. It's a lot to take in. Olivia's right, it can sometimes be quite a long process for stability to settle in, so it's really important you be patient with yourself and those around you. Get some books to read on the subject, and hopefully your husband will want to get educated on the subject too. If you want some good book recommendations, we can all chime in with some.

Hi Rain and welcome. I was diagnosed back in May and it is still an adjustment for me at times. It is a lot to take in. give it some time and give the meds some time to work. and this is a great place for support.
