I just wanted to let you all know I got a dog

I got a dog last week and think it will help me with my therpy. What do you think? He is a mini dashund pup 9 weeks old and he makes me get out of bed in the morning and then I have to stay on top of him for no accidents. It has been making me feel good but with this come to pass as well as everything else in my life? I sure hope not. Also my Dr. has taken me off of work untill Sept and I do not know If I will have a job to go back to but I am going to do the best I can do to get better in that time. Please let me know what you think.

Pets are amazing for your health. I always have them around me and my dogs mean the world to me. I think this is a very positive step. Leah

I have a mini doxie, smooth black haired, 5 yrs old. She is as nutty as I call myself!(no we are not nuts so dont anyone get all mad).
She is my best friend and good company. Watch the food, they look small but eat like elephants.
Also, babyproof every place she has access to. Get her/him spayed as soon as the vet says ok, they are calmer that way. Never leave her outside alone(we get coyotes).
This is a GREAT idea, just have patience, they look all cutsie but they are a handful!!!

Sounds great slz! I had dogs growing up and I always loved them.

It's good to have the break from work. I hope it's still there for you when you want it back, but if not, that's okay. You'll find something else. You're health matters more.

I think it was a great decision to get a puppy.  tongue

Pets are great companions!  My pets continue to bring me love & happiness with each passing day. blush

Thank you all for your replys. I was having doubts but now feel more confident in the fact that I did get my dog. My husbands idea because I have been asking for one for years! Thank All of you so much and Sukay sorry I was not on the chat last week I was keeping a close eye on puppy for no accidents.
