Who is on an antidepressant along w/a mood stabilizer?

Hi Guys,

 

I was just wondering how many of you are on an anti depressant along with a mood stabilizer?

 

What type of combinations are you on.

 

I'm on Wellbutrin along with Trileptal.

Hi sukay,

I'm on a bunch of things, of course. But I'm on Lamictal and Topomax as mood stabilizers and Lexapro and Serzone as antidepressants.

My H is on Wellbutrin, Epival, Zyprexa and something else...

he's on mood stabilizers, anti-depressent and anti psychotics!

Hi! im new. i have several illnesses, among them a mood disorder, depression, anxiety, and panic disorder. i take the following meds. effexor, klonopin,lyrica, buspar,lamictal,and seroquel. best of luck to you.

I'm on cymbalta for depression and geodon for a mood stabilizer and buspar for anti-anxiety

I am on Depakote and Klonapin.  I've been on Klonapin for over 5 years ever since I first started having anxiety attacks.  Now with bi-polar I have pretty much insisted I continue cause I think it helps with my sleep.  I definitely need my sleep.  Otherwise my best tranq is my laptop and games I play.  I play or read a book until I can no loner keep my eyes open.  Then I put in the Ipod headphones.  I can't deal with tossing and turning.

xanax or Klonpin for panic/aniety/sleep as needed
Restoril 4 sleep
Fish oil 1000mg/day or 2000 can't remember now

IMO, too many meds and still get anxiety and panic

My H was first on mood stabilizer Depakote and Lexapro.  Then Depakote with Welbutrin- which he claims isn't working.  So back to Depakote with Lexapro.  He claims Depakote doesn't work.  Getting frusrated.  Is he suppose to be on more than one med of each? 

Remember his p-doc decided to be a stay at home mother and left the practice in the middle of treatment and he now is giving me grief about seeing another p-doc.  Why can't his g-doc just keep refilling he asks.  Because he needs an expert to treat him is why!!!!!!

 

He's been edgy, moody and now has stated that he resents me trying to switch up his meds!!!  He's the one that informed me it wasn't working so I asked the p-doc for something different!  I can't win!

I am afraid my psyche will be upping my meds, or making some changes.  I have had daily cycling.  So bad one day I started drinking wine and felt like somehow I wanted to leave.  My doc originally wanted the Depakote at 1500, but I was coming off other meds and I couldn't handle the 1500 so we stayed at 1000.  I am upping it to 1250 to see if it helps.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 but have only had one hypomanic episode and mostly been depressed throughout.  My new psychiatrist has put me on 2mg Abilify and 100mg of Wellbutrin SR.  I found this site today when I was trying to learn more about the Abilify and Wellbutrin combo.  I just stated taking Wellbutrin today, will take Abilify in the evening.  Does anyone else take Abilify with Wellbutrin? and if so, how well has it worked for treating your low constant depression, lack of motivation, hermit type behavior...anyone?

Hi there currently i'm taking lexapro,seroquel,depakote,xanax,atenalol (as a adrenaline blocker) I took wellbutrin and buspar for awhile whith this minus the depakote but the doc took those two away and added the depakote which seems to be working better.

I just wanted to take a moment to welcome you to the bipolar board and to HealingWell. I'm not on that particular combo, but I'm sure someone has taken it. We've seen it all, around here. :-) Hope you find what you're looking for.

I started taking Lyrica and Lamotrigine (Lamictal) 4 days ago for mood stabilizers. PDoc says Lyrica will help now while i start up Lamictal. Taking 100mg Lyica and 50 mg Lamotrigine. Havent felt side effects except a little bit "bored" if you know what i mean. Hope this helps.

It's good of you to join HealingWell and the bipolar board. Why not start a new topic and tell us a little bit about yourself? How long have you been bipolar? How are you feeling now? That sort of thing?
