music and thoughts= bp?

most of the day i get music and thoughts (some in my voice, some in other people's voices) running through my head. sometimes the thought repeats itself over and over and just wouldnt stop. is this a symptom of hypomania? i was dxd with MDD, but my doctor gave me zyprexa (an antipsychotic) as well as an AD. I'm just wondering... thanks...

I couldn't say for sure whether that's the bipolar or the MDD. You'd need your doc to talk to you about that. But there are lots of bipolar people who hear voices -- it's usually a symptom of acute mania (not so much hypomania). I would talk to my doc about it.

There seems to be a bit of confusion from your respondant Serafena. I presume by MDD , you mean Manic Depressive Disorder ? THis is one and the same thing as Bipolar Disorder and is usually abbreviated now to BD.

I hear songs going through my head a lot. The only voices I hear are my own and sometimes I won't shut up. Racing thoughts are a symptom of Bipolar disorder and occur during a manic phase.

MDD is major depressive disorder, hopefulness.
