Geez...I've been on so many different things.  I was on lamictal for a while but after some time it just didn't cut if for me.

You know everyone has a different reaction to drugs so don't despire.  Give it a go for a while.

I have been on lamictal for over a year... I don't notice any side effects and it seems to be working... I haven't had any manic episodes. I think it is worth a try... good luck.

I've been on Lamictal for over 6 years, but as sukay said -- every med works differently for everybody. I hope it helps you. It's been great for me.

Hi. i was diagnosed with bi-polar about 4 yrs. ago. i had a complete psychotic break. my husband left work to come get me and take me to the hospital. our insurance said b4 they would cover it i must get a referralfrom a psych. it actually turned out to b a blessing n disguise. the psych. nurse practioner i saw put me on seraquel and lamictal. the next morning i was "back". i still had a long recovery and i now will always have bi-polar, but i have been on these meds ever since. sometimes the amounts have needed to b tweaked but i thank God that these meds were available to me at that time and that i went to someone wise enough to diagnose me immediately and put me on the meds i needed. i cant speak for everyone, but, im a HUGE fan of Lamictal!

I am hoping it will work for me, I have had a long road of many meds that don't seem to work.

I was put on lamictal 5 years ago and it has helped me, I still have had other med changes to stop the some other things that happen with my bp, like having a psychotic break, but my pdoc said to me it is my life line and so I will take it as long as it works for me.

I'm on Lamictal and Celexa, with Xanax as needed. This combo has worked for a year - previous meds that failed include Prozac, Zoloft, Abilify, and Risperidal. I've had to up my dose of Lamictal, but overall I've had a good response to it. My only side effects are drowsiness (but that could be from Celexa, too), so I take my meds in the evening.

so far so good have been feeling better the last few days, I have only been on Lamictal for about 4 weeks so I'm not sure if its the med or I am going back into another mania.

I've been on Lamictal for a couple months and it has evened me out. My doc just added Pristiq to maybe make it work better, but things are definitely not worse since I've been on it. Again, as mentioned above, different drugs work differently depending on the person - but I wish you all the best !

thomas im so happy that you are feeling some better. i hope that the lamictal is working for nyou as it worked for me. good luck to you in the future. i will keep you in my prayers. (i hope thats ok ). take care.
