I'm just curious where everybody lives, how old you are, and what your sex is, and maybe how long you have been diagnosed.

I'm in Oregon's Willamette Valley, I love it here :). I'm 26 and a man. I was diagnosed a week and a half ago.

In Halifax, NS Canada From backwoods Pictou county (Scottish) w. a tad of Welsh in for measure. Five generations for sure, missed only 1:4 of us. That means for everyone born female in our family 3 develop Bipolar disorder. I am in my fifties, my ma her 70's, her mom would be about 107 and her mom 139, cause she opted out. Also about 1:2 of males so affected (no pun intended), developed the disease. It is genetic. Too bad I cannot get this into my thick skull. Instead, I walk around mad at me most of the time for having little or no control over my emotions. I am a bit of a genius which makes it all the worse b/c I am so Aware. Of everything. It totally exhausts me, all this awareness. Gotta keep hangin in here. Cheers

29 years old, first diagnosed in 95, then rediagnosed with a bunch of other stuff, then diagnosed again recently.
