that I have in the back of my mind that comes out during my worst depressions...
this feeling that my life is never going to get any better.
I shouldn't have to feel this way :(

Hi Voix,
Is there anyway that you can get out with nature? Maybe go to a river or a lake, or even a park. Just get out amongst the wildlife and soak it all in and relax. That is what I do when I am feeling out of sorts. It does really help.
Hugs, Karen

I go for walks, but I live in a town full of developments. there's no wildlife left.

Do you love animals? I was feeling down today and went to Petsmart to see all the kitties and dogs for adoption and to look at the fish. The fish always have a relaxing motion and look to them. Or maybe a zoo or aquarium if you have one nearby.

I agree, when i get sad i take a trip to petsmart and visit the kitties. I hold them and love them up because they really need some love and attention. Then i come home and love up my pets at home.
Even getting out and getting some sun on you would feel great for your body.

voix - the beauty of BP is that it ISN'T permanent - even if you feel it is.
I use mood charts so I can visually SEE that it won't last forever.

I try to tell myself it is just a symptom to depression and it will pass...it always does. I keep a small notebook to track my moods so when I feel the sad part will never end, I can look back and see, yep, I had good days. I get outside as much as I can..even if it's just sitting under my favorite maple tree listening to the birds, watching the horses, etc. Nature and animals kind of seem to be healing to most who commented.
