Can't believe you were turned down, thought you were BP, and that all BPs would get it. Must admit I was a basket case when I went for my pdoc interview. Got to the psych place, County Mental Health I think, an hour early, so worried I'd get lost. Only one other woman was waiting there, had 3 kids with her, real cute, and well behaved. She was unhappy about their wigglihg on the chairs, and without even putting her magazine down, she delivered a very hard blow with her knuckles to the chest of the oldest boy, like a karate blow. God, what a noise, I'm sure she damaged his sternum. He made a silent grimace that was heart wrenching. I was so disturbed I didn't know what to do, and was shaking. Then suddenly I was called in. It effected my speech, which was very awkward and halted, I could hardly think. Apparently it worked to my benefit.
I think you could appeal it.
Then again as Red said, a part time job works wonders for the self esteem I am 60, so my chances of getting hired are nil. No references, no experience. Disability doesn't pay alot either. At least not compared to the cost of meds. I get $600/mo. and requested a person my husband, be designated as a "guardian" of the money, further saying I am not very reliable. My friend who has a lot of work experience, gets $800.
But, wouldn't it be great if you found something you could continue working at. Part of your routine. A good job is therapeutic, helps you get your mind off yourself, as long as it is not too stressful. Good luck.
