So I was chatting with someone who mentioned that when they went off of birth control(who was rapid cycling) that they cycled through mania and depression a lot slower. Was just curious if anyone else had had this experience?

When I went off birth control earlier this year I cycled slower for about
5 months but then I went back to the rapid cycling I had before

Can someone explain "cycling" to me, and the difference between rapid and slow.
Thanks!

Rapid cycling is going up and down within a matter of days between mania and depression

In that case, I've found that my abilify and lamictal has slowed my cycling down. In fact I wish I had a bit of my hypomania back.
