Welcome. I am new here too. The posts that i have read also reflect a lot of battles so i am sure you will get help and support from this forum
I am 57 and my new pdoc has diagnosed me bipolar. She reckons I have been bipoplar since my early twenties but gone untreated all these years. Prior to my recent diagnosis I was treat for depression and given medication for this. Now i am on a mood stabilizer.
As i have already posted my bipolar diagnosis has brought meaning to my life. Hitherto people and family thought i was bizaar, eccentric or a bit of a maverick when in fact i am ill.

welcome to the site. I think you will find the people here are very health and best-management focussed. I like that most about this forum. No one denies the illness and the troubles they are having but they tend to be committed to getting up and building on their management plan after every time their health fails. I find the people here inspirational, sensible, responsible and constructive. I get the sense you are going to fit in beautifully. I like you already
