This isn't exactly emotional eating, but I also have to total-loss-of-self-control eating. Really bad at work when they bring in sweet treats!!
I have started to get a grip on it. I got the Beneful fiber powder in orange flavor. I've had 24oz water plus 12 g fiber. I get hungry at luunchtime and don't overeat. Today I really noticed how it's starting to start change. MY fiance made brownies with frosting (yum). There was a 1/2 piece in the pan. I picked it up, didn't really want it and put it back. Sounds silly, but phenomenal. So I mixed up some fiber-aid so I should be good until lunch.
It might work for emotional eating too? It's easy to remember when I'm at work. Harder to remember when I'm home and that's where the emotional eating strikes.
I've done it a couple of times. I KNOW that I'm doing it and don't care in the moment. :/ At least I'm not feeling guilty about it?
Maybe some fiber would help some other emotional eaters?
I got the book "Women, Food, God" from the library but haven't read it yet.
