I have found ways to funnel my excess energy into positive outlets. I throw myself into work, i walk my dog every night for an hour, i ride my bike 2-4 hours a day, hike when im not biking and i recently discovered martial arts and am loving it.
Are there nights where i dont sleep? Absolutly. But i rest in a dark room and normally feel pretty good the next day. FOr me, keeping busy has been a god send. As long as i keep busy, my BP stays under control without alot of meds.
Also i try and practice acceptance in my life. Acepting that my mind is different, that it will have different needs then what normal people will need.
