I'm just coming off of withdrawls from getting off zyprexa. Has anybody else had nightmares after getting off zyprexa? I think it is a nasty drug. I gained alot of weight on it and my triglyceride levels have skyrocketed.

Jaimee, thanks for responding. I started emdr with my therapist last week and haven't had any nightmares since. I have also gained a lot of weight on my meed. I've just started a diet and have lost 11 pounds, but it has been difficult. I hope that you have a merry christmas.

Ok ostomygirl..I think we can relate on a few things (including the ostomy) but the zyprexa is evil! Nightmares yes, bad ones, so bad I have an entire journal written with god awful dreams while on it and coming off it..but the worst, don't think I'm gross, k? But the zyprexa made me lactate! Yes I said lactate! and I was not pregnant! Nor could be! It took some time to get out of my system..the only thing I'll miss is the bigger chest! Ha ah but other than that, nothing! I am on abilify now and remeron and my life is great..well better than before that's for sure..are you going to keep trying for a new medication?

Currently, I am on seroquel, klonopln, and lamictal. My doctor took me off the zyprexa without starting me on another med. If I have troubles, he may put me on lamictal. I was having nightmares and mmy therapist couldn't tell if it was due to me coming off the zyprexa or my having post traumatic stress syndrome.
That is terrible that a medicine could make you lactate. Our medicines have Uso many side effects, but else are we to do?

Oops. My doctor will put me on liithium, but I am on llamictal. Hopefully, I will stay stable and not have to need another medicine. I am bipolar 1 with post traumatic stress syndrome and an ileostomy. I have been having nightmares about
the medical procedures I've been through.
