Has anyone ever taken Geodon??

So I've been taking Lamictal for about two months now and I was getting really bad acne on my face because of it, which is a rare side effect. (Lucky me) anyways. My psychiatrist put me on Geodon. I have to pick it up at the drug store tomorrow.
I've never heard of this Geodon also known as Ziprasidone.

I know everyone reacts to medication differently. I just wanted peoples inputs on how they felt being on it. :)

I take Geodon 20mg at noon and 40mg and 80mg at bedtime. I tried taking the 40 mg at noon but got very sedated by it so switched it to bedtime and that worked the best for me. Dr. decided that 20 mg at noon was the best for me. I have been on these dosages for two years now without a problem.

I just hope I don't get any weird side effects.
I know someone who takes Geodon and ends up having involuntary movements from it sometimes. Which scares me a little. Like I said I know everyone is different, but still.

Hello again, I don't get any involuntary movements. The only thing I had was feeling sedate but it was a matter getting the dosages and the times right. It was a good match for me. Has worked pretty well for my bipolar II. I tried various other meds and this worked well.

I've heard of Geodon working well and not working well, it all depends on the person. Of course, give it a try and see what happens, you'll never know unless you do. If that doesn't work, you can always ask your doctor about Lithium. Lithium is a very common drug that's prescribed to those who are bipolar in any class and it tends to work really well. I took it myself for a time and I found it worked perfectly with my moods whether I was up or down. Here's some info on it so you can bring it up to your doctor if the Geodon doesn't work out. I seem to get all of the weird side effects.
I got a cough from geodon. Just a relentless cough all day and night.

I have been on Geodon for 4 years and it helps me so much with only one side effect is constipation.
