If they tell you what you are doing isn't working but refuse to help you find an alternative solution then they are not helping you. If your family is not supporting you then maybe you should avoid them for awhile. What you need to do is keep fighting. Keep looking. Somewhere is a combination of medication, a doctor, and a type of therapy that will work for you. I'd suggest going to your nearest County Mental Health department and asking if they know of any local groups specializing in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, DBT. I think it would work well for you. Depending on where you live you can even get assistants for free. I go to group therapy, have a private therapist, get medication and see a psychiatrist all for nothing. It was not easy and I had to look for what I needed but in the end it helped a lot.
