I've never posted in the bipolar forum before but my stomach is in knots and I don't know where else I should go or what to do. I'm torn and hoping someone on here can help.
A good friend of mine, someone I've known for at least 5 years, is bipolar. I have seen her have her..."episodes" before so at first I wasn't worried. Well here's the story, and I'll try to keep it as simple as possible...
I got a text message from her on December 31st saying happy new years and whatnot. Since that, I hadn't heard from her in about
two weeks, after multiple texts and calls to her, I went over to see her, since I know she doesn't have the best life and I was getting extremely worried. When I saw her, someone else answered the door, I'm assuming it was her landlord/roommate, who was looking a little rough, along with that, someone in the background ran for some reason. My friend came out and said she was okay. She sent me a text message saying: 'Depressed, just weathering out the storm, get back to you when I'm up to it', so I responded with 'Just get back to me when you're up to it.' That's all fine and good, but when I saw her (before the text message), she looked all dirty and really skinny like she has been getting into some hardcore drugs.
After that (which was early/mid January.) I haven't heard from her. I have called, texted, e-mailed, done everything I can really. I have gotten no response and am growing increasingly worried.
Cliff notes:
Bipolar friend
Haven't heard from her in over a month
Might be into drugs.
