Excessive computer use is very, very common in hypomania or mania. You can download free software(s) to block your internet access during specific times.
Getting relief from and control over hypomanic symptoms does require avoiding stimulation - that certainly includes not only the mental stimulation of technology-based activities, but also the noises and lights from the devices.
It's time to unplug!

Yes I definitely get on laptop and I research for hours. And when I would finally get to sleep (2 or3 hours) I am right back Online. But am finally sleeping much better and am able to do things without hurrying. I am what they call a Multics tasked :)
