Has anyone here been in a relationship where both parties were bipolar? I'm wondering how a relationship would go. Any information would be awesome!

not with bi-polar as i have but when i was dx with borderline personality disorder. i was more stable and she was less stable. i was badly hurt, as i tried to help and be there. but compassion only takes you so far. when recieving treatment and or your condition is managed i see no problem.

Interesting topic Chythe
!
I've never been in a relationship where both parties were bipolar. I agree with Jamie. Receiving treatment, compassion, supporting and understanding each other are key factors.

Been in 4 relationships with bipolar men and I'm bipolar. The first three ended in divorce. Now dating another bipolar man. Much drama...much love and deep caring. We met in the psyche ward and have been dating since Nov. Great intimacy...but we both drink too much. We used to be sober but fell off the wagon. We can both be moody and ultra sensitive but there is so much love and happiness I can't imagine being with a 'normie.' guess bc I never have.
