Hi,
I have posted in this forum before, but not in a long time. I have previously been diagnosed with anxiety and moderate depression, but I'm starting to wonder if I might have bipolar disorder.
I've always had a short attention span & racing thoughts, but lately I am noticing that I have had extreme irritability and my moods are all over the place. I literally go from being extremely depressed to hyper in a matter of minutes with no rhyme or reason for this to happen. I have also been having trouble sleeping (I average less than 5 hrs a night) but yet I am not tired. I do take Wellbutrin for my depression, but I have been on that for several months so I think I can rule that out as a cause of my mood swings.
I guess what I am asking is #1 Can a person develop bipolar in their 30's? #2 Are these mood and sleep changes in fact signs of Bipolar Disorder? Thank you in advanced for any guidance that you may be able to offer. Right now, I feel like I am losing my mind, being hyper 1 min, irritable the next and then depressed another moment is just not normal. I'm frustrated and just wish I could figure this junk out.
