Back at it

Drinking again, second night in a row. Last night I called my psych doc while drunk at 11:30. I gave him a bit of trouble and told h how I felt about our lack of progress. Oh boy... I feel like going backwards instead of forward. And in hate hiding my drinking from everyone besides my doc. Hate to keep complaining, I'm just out of control and don't know what to do. I hope you all are experiencing some peace. Much love.

My family was aware of my drinking, but then I stopped. However it's creeping back in. I don't want to tell them because I kno they will b angry that I've gone back to it after all the trouble it's caused. I need to quit again for real or I'm afraid some bridges will be burned. I just don't know what else to do sometimes. My husband did find out today because I fell asleep on the couch with a big ole can on the coffee table. So that's what he woke up to. I minimized so he doesn't know how much I was drinking, but he knows I was. I hate this.

Audrianna, I'm glad you called your doc so they are aware. You are on the right track. You have admitted the problem and I know that you are seeking help.

As Jamie said, tell your husband and also ask him if he can help you and support you. Maybe he can be there to stop you when you feel for a drink. There was a time when I smoked stuff I should not. I asked a friend in work to stop me if she saw me going outside to smoke. She was kind enough to help me.

It is tough but I know you can do this. Continue with your AA meetings as you will get help from others and they may also share how they combated any urges.
