the pdoc first diagnosed me as schiphrenic, then as scizoaffective. i presented as very depressed and as having just tried committing suicide. the fact that i am disabled from chronic back pain and that a quack had shoved the pain through the roof - beyond my endurance, anyway - with a botched epidural steroid injection, had nothing to do with his diagnosis. i wasn't happy with dis diagnosis and went to a psychologist. we went over the dsm and i more fit bipolar than schizoeffective.
i get angry - actually i get into a rage. i once injured my wife during one of these rages - that was a long time ago - aabout 20 years. recently a snapped big time at my ganddaughter. she was just being a stupid 21-year old who thinks she has all the answers. lol once, when i was able to work, i almost came to blows with a boss who p****d me off. i am unpredictable and, when i become enraged, i become irrational.
along with the racing thoughts, those are my symptoms.
i have held very well paying jobs in the computer industry. i guess the best term for my profession is "system engineer". i have no problem concentrating (i used to read technical manuals about data bases and data base handling systems for recreation. i have pulled my share of "all nighters" and "all weekers" - but that was nornal in my profession. racing thoughts duing the day back then, plus my ability to totally and exclusively concentrate on one thing were real assets to me back then. now they are disconcerting and add to my handicap.
i need to take this information to another pdoc and see what they have to say. :)
you asked for my other symptoms. woops, thare it is. :)
thanks, again, for your suppot. this burdan has just gotten a lot easier.
