Hi, I'm mainly from the ulcerative colitis board, but have a question regarding bipolar disorder. Years ago I was diagnosed bipolar, but didn't have insurance long enough to get on any meds in regards to this disease. I currently am seeing another doc. but haven't really been diagnosed with bipolar yet, he's giving me meds for anxiety at the present time to get it under control. My question is about
certain symptoms. I know bipolar deals with depression and manic episodes. Mine seem to occur frequently though. Each day I deal with depression, but there are a few times each day where I'm all of a sudden in a greater than normal mood, but only for about
15 to 20 minutes..then it's back to being depressed. I have alot of energy all of a sudden, like I'm ready to 'conquer the world'. I'd almost rather be despressed all the time, rather than deal with the roller coaster. From my understanding and research, the manic episodes don't occur that frequently though. Could someone with bipolar disorder have many 'highs' each day? They don't last too long, but it's very noticable. Thanks in advance for any responses.
