looking forward to it been in this depressive episode for about aproxx year my doc thinks it may help i have had it on a few occasions and it has helped so fingers crossed it helps this time.

Will be thinking of you gaz. If it's helped before I would be optimisticly expecting it to help again. You've gone through alot lately, I hope this is your answer.

Fingers crossed here too. As you say, it's helped before, so you have every reason to be optimistic. ECT can *really* make the difference for some people, and it sounds like it does this for you. Here's to an end of the cycle for you.

I had ECT about 2 years okay. It was great. The procedure is okay. For me, I went in, they put a band around my forehead and inserted an IV. Then they put some white stuff in the IV, while in the middle of talking to the nurses and doctor, then I open my eyes everyone is gone and I had no recollection of anything happening.

I never got the headaches or sleepiness, felt fine.

I did experience some memory loss, but heck that could be from the bipolar.

For the next two years I didn't have any symptoms, I didn't have the maintenance treatments which could be why the symptoms returned.
