my son seems like 2 people?Do any of u adults feel this way?

 We noticed over the last year or so that our 9 yr old ADHD-Asperger-Bp- son seems like 2 people. At 4 he began trt. for ADHD then at 7 showed signs of depression took to pysch.doc.and was begun on Prozac responded well for a few months but then became very manic. Reevaluated-diag.ADHD-Aspergers-Bipolar meds changed at that time. He seemed socially enept,handwritng illegable,stopped drawing and would only use the color black,lined things up in rows constantly, trusted noone but mom,numerous other oddities went on for several months then suddenly he got better. Everthing improved Honor roll quality school work socializaton skills great! lasted 3 months.then just as suddenly everything went downhill again right back to the darkness. This time he is scared of everything !!!toilets,bugs,sounds of all kinds crossing parking lots,people,etc.He was hospitalized and meds changed but the mania still is not being held now on focalin ,clonadine,lithium,geodon,zyprexa,cogenton,prevacid .What to do now? Is this what adults do also? He's just a child,and well behind his growth curve and developemental milestones also. We are so worried about his future. Has someone else experienced something like this?

i'm pretty new to bp (dx in may) but can relate to what you described. i do really good for awhile and then i crash and cant leave my house. right now i only leave when someone is with me. i never go anywhere by myself. i cant drive. and i get overwhelmed easy when i'm out. i'm very fearful, of nothing specific, just fearful and anxious. i'm hoping to get my meds sorted out. trying to be patient with that process but its hard. and i'm told can take awhile to find the right combination.

i'm sorry that your son is so young and going through this. i hope that you are able to find the combination that works for him soon.
