More Bipolar

My 20 year old son ..the one who recently lost his little daughter .. well his wheels came off completly ... I have long suspected he is bipolar like I am .. and finally I convinced him to get help , for himself , his girlfriend and of course the survivng twin.

He is aggressive, irritable, extremly manic and crashes into depression.. he cant keep a job , and of course his relationship is suffering

I have a friend (also bipolar) who has agreed to pay for his treatment , and I have an appointment for him on Monday.. he lives far from me so I took the liberty of having a long chat to the pdoc first .. I feel I have a right , Garth is only 20 , and I am his mother, the pdoc regards him as a possible emergency so I got an appointment quickly.

His MIL who I have made close friends with is with me 100% on this and she will give him the support he needs as well as remind him to take his meds.

Please hold thumbs that my son is going to get the help he needs and will come right , the consequences dont bear thinking about .. and im so worried about him.

Yep, you all have been through a very difficult time. You have been so strong. I remember you mentioning that your son was bipolar or pretty sure he was.

I hope he has learned from seeing you on how well you are able to cope with certain issues in your life now compared to before.

I'm glad that he is receiving so much support from everyone around him that loves him.

I will definately be keeping him and you in my thoughts. I think you are the best example for him right now.
