On the verge

My tdoc has been encouraging me to keep working on my poetry and I would like to share my latest one with you guys.  Please let me know what you guys think of it. On the Verge   Standing on the verge Right on the edge Looking into darkness Feeling so cold   Flying up high Soaring in the clouds Seeing only brightness Bathed in the warmth   Neither happy nor sad Totally numb inside Feeling nothing at all I’m completely empty   Always falling apart Broken into pieces Wanting to be whole But absolutely helpless   Whatever I try No matter what I do This is my life This will always be me   AJL 7-25-08
