Last week on Law & Order: SVU there was an episode about Stabler’s mom being bipolar. I was wondering how many of you seen it and your thoughts on it.

I saw that episode. The one where his daughter and Mom both had bipolar disorder? I thought it was a good show.

I don't know that you can get the episode to play - I'm sending my technical adviser (also known as the boyfriend) to look at it. He's going to see if a site has it.

I thought they did a good job.  Of course I don't have it myself and know what it feels like, but I noticed a lot of similarities between the daughter and my husband who is currently in a manic state.  I was glued to the TV!

I saw Pollock recently and was horrified by it. I feel that movies/tv portraying bipolar tend to sensationalize the disease. I wish there was more balanced reporting of the illness and i think Nami does a good job getting info out there, but there's not enough info...as evidenced by the spouses/sufferers who post on the board daily.
