Well if you remember I have been working on classes for our colleges' RN rogram.  Our programs regularly have about 40 people above the number allowed apply.  And of course I was not selected in the lottery.  So those who did not get selected, your applications get forwarded on to the hospitals who sponser a few extra spots in the program...so more waiting to see if I get selected for one of those spots.  I am really trying to not let this bring me down too much...but I think I had been putting too much pressure on myself that getting in the program was going to be a huge step in me feeling better about myself.  And more than that, feeling that it would help how I think my husband thinks about me.  I know I shouldnt let myself think that way but I do.   Especially with the money damage I did through the manias....now if I do not get in I have to wait to apply for the next program which begins next September.  So 9 more moths pushed back until I can be earning a worthwhile paycheck.

No need to apologize -- that is really frustrating! I would be upset too, it's really disappointing. I'll cross my fingers that you get selected by one of the hospitals. What can you do in the mean time. Are there more electives or core requirements you can take to get out of the way? Have you talked to your advisor yet?

Mommy_michele-its good you come & blah mate,thats part of what this site is for,better than having it all bottled up...Maybe there is some other programmes or tasks you can set for your-self if you have to wait this extra time.But my fingers are crossed too,that you will get in this time.

Oh, there are definitely classes I can take in the mean time, but I think I kind of set my self up for the let down by placing too much importance on getting in right away.  Thank you for the finger crossing!  I think right now I am going to take my Risperdal,take a nice, long, hot bath, and try to calm my mind down  :)  Goodnight everyone!

Sometimes the things we want so badly right this minute, turn out to not exactly be what we really need.  Meaning maybe there is something even better for you down the road, around that curb, who knows.  Please do not get discouraged.....never give up and remember positive attracts positive...negative attracts negative.  A motto that I think all BP people should never forget.

I think you are very right in all of that BP Gemini,sometimes the thing that we think is right for us right now,isn't & someone knows better.The right thing for us usually pops up,if we keep asking within ourselves.
And sometimes we are made to go on hold,for those things ,just so that we learn,we need to be helping ourselves as well.there is much access to positive reading,& learning on the net these days available to help us learn little things that can improve our outlook of ourselves.Also I think we are prone to being lazy,& desire ezy ansers,when sometimes by just making ourself go out for a long walk,smiling at someone less fortunate,helping an old lady with her load,etc etc can greatly improve our day....
Ok,peeps,have a groovy as day,& I will chat again as I can-remember you are very worthy in this life-sometimes this period is just a season for us to learn more about ourselves ,& to teach us to respect what is very cool about us----maybe just finding our Hearts....which can sometimes get lost to us,in this fast paced life of ours....Good luck out there-chat soon.

Just a little note to say i hope your blahs have gone away or atleast faded a little.  Well, just wanted to send a little sunshine your way.  I am so enlightened by all the support I have gotten from this forum and I hope you will stay plugged in as well.

Thank you BP...the blahs have definately subsided.  I know what I am going to do...and that is to keep taking classes towards my BS in Biology.  So I have plenty ahead of me.  And this spring I can reapply to start in the fall.

I am glad you feel you are reaping the benefits of all of the wonderful support on this group.
